Lakme 9 to 5 weightless mousse foundation – Review

Hey guys!

How are you all? Looks like this season we have a lot of new products which are launched. So I picked up this Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation to try and give you an honest review. So without any further ado lets get started ! 😀

So this is how the product looks like. The packaging is quite cute. It comes in Rose gold tube and the outer box is also of the same color. It looks quite beautiful. Its a tube so very handy and travel friendly. And the wastage will also be very less because of the tiny hole from which the product comes out. It doesn’t spill and we know how much we are taking out. Packaging wise I totally loved it but when compared with the price range it can be little more better.

As the product says it’s a mousse, it is quite creamy and soft and glides on skin, blends like a dream and has a pleasant smell. As the name says it is seriously weightless guys.. I mean you can’t even feel the foundation on skin.We don’t need a brush or blender to blend this foundation. Its texture is amazing. For those who have an issue with blending or want something which just blends quickly like a moisturizer without taking lot of time .. this will be your friend.

Coverage and longevity:

Now this is the saddest part and the biggest flaw. It does not give proper coverage. After wearing this I could still see my dark spots and stuff like that. It doesn’t do the job of a foundation, it’s more like a tinted moisturizer or cream. I would say it has sheen to medium coverage. And the longevity is also very less, it hardly stayed on my skin for 2 hours. You should be using a good primer and concealer with it and ya the problem would be solved a bit.

I would recommend this product to all skin types with just a little preparation. If your skin type is Dry you should use a moisturizer before this. It’s a creamy foundation but there is good chance of having dry patches later. And if yours is oily skin, you can still use this foundation, this doesn’t breakout but it may crease after sometime .. so I recommend to use a compact powder on top of it. Its good for normal skin.

Its Rs. 575/- for 29 gms of product, which is definitely expensive for the product quality, packaging and everything.

Shades available are: Beige Caramel, Beige Vanilla, Rose Honey, RoseIvory

I am in the shade ROSE IVORY and I have normal skin

  • Friendly packaging.
  • Good color range for Indian skin tones. You can easily get your match.
  • Doesn’t oxidize.
  • Blends easily.

  • No SPF.
  • No Coverage.
  • Expensive.
  • Less of darker shades.

Overall verdict: Yes it’s a good product. This is good for someone who looks for less coverage.

I give a rating of 3.5/5 to this product. And I would still  love to use this for my everyday use  🙂

That’s it guys. Hope this review is of some help. If so plz comment below. Also let me know if you want to see any reviews on other new launches too.
