How are you all doing? Today we are taking about Make up primers and a few of our regular face creams that can act as primers. So lets first understand what primers are.
Primers are used as base before applying foundation or concealer to face. They help in moisturizing facial skin and making it smooth for the makeup to apply effortlessly, also it helps the make up last long. Few primers also minimize pores and make skin look even more flawless. So it is must to apply a good primer before doing any makeup, let it be natural or full glam look.
Now, there are good primers available in market but for those who cant get their hands on primers for any reason, there are easy alternatives which are very easily available in market.You can also use your regular face moisturisers as primers. I have picked 5 good options which can replace your primer and do a equally good job.
This is a very good option for normal to oily skin. Its a gel based formula which smoothens skin and helps makeup glides easily.
This is again good for all skin types. Its completely gel based and moisturises skin well. It also acts as natural sunscreen. Your makeup will look flawless with this base.
This is one moisturiser which I spoke a lot about in almost all my recent posts. This is a multi purpose cream with SPF 25 and good moisturising formula and acts as a good primer too. It has a little tint which helps correct flaws a bit.
As far as I know this is the most used cream in India. Many people are still loyal to this cream because of it benefits. This is again a multi purpose cream which helps treating pimple, sunburn, rashes and some minor skin issues. This has good moisturizing formula which helps makeup stay long.
BB and CC creams are basically low in coverage so they act as good primers too. They can be worn as it is or as a primer. Pick up something with SPF and you’re good to go.
Nivea after shave balm
I have never used this as primer but many of you already know that its most raved product in the world and it approved by many beauty gurus. So if you don’t mind trying a post shave balm you can give it a shot.
