Frequently asked questions
Can I use Bakuchiol and Lactic Acid together?
Yes, it is safe. There is no known chemical conflict between Bakuchiol and Lactic Acid, and neither makes the other less effective. They share a goal (texture and pigmentation), so together they reinforce each other.
Which goes first, Bakuchiol or Lactic Acid?
Apply Lactic Acid first, then Bakuchiol. The general rule is thinnest to thickest texture, and lowest pH first.
Should I use Bakuchiol in the morning or at night?
Bakuchiol: works morning or night. Use twice daily. It is stable in sunlight, so a morning application is fine.
Should I use Lactic Acid in the morning or at night?
Lactic Acid: best at night. Use 2–3 nights a week. It is good for beginners to exfoliation. Follow with a moisturiser, and wear SPF the next day.
Is Bakuchiol with Lactic Acid safe during pregnancy?
Neither is a known risk in normal cosmetic amounts, but guidance varies for Bakuchiol. Check with your doctor.
