Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of beautyelixir.in (the "Site"), operated by Beauty Elixir, E-22, Sector 22, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201301, India ("we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and does not require a physical or digital signature.

1. What the Site offers

The Site provides free educational tools and content about skincare, haircare and fragrance. These include ingredient checkers, compatibility verdicts, routine suggestions, hair porosity results, perfume spray estimates, perfume "dupe" comparisons, batch-code decoding and articles (together, the "Services"). No account is required.

2. Not medical advice

The Services are for general information only. They are not medical, dermatological or pharmaceutical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they do not create a doctor–patient relationship. Always patch test new products, and consult a qualified dermatologist or doctor for any skin, scalp or hair condition, before using prescription treatments, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. 3. Accuracy and results

• Comedogenic ratings, compatibility verdicts, routines, porosity results and spray counts are produced by published rules and reference data (see our Methodology). They are general guidance and may not suit your individual skin or hair.
• Product ingredient lists are copied from brand sources on the date shown. Formulas change and vary by country, so always check the product pack.
• Batch-code results rely on manufacturers' public conventions, which can change. Prices, perfume similarity scores and performance estimates are approximate.

We try hard to be accurate but make no warranty that the Services are complete, current or error-free.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of the IT Act 2000 or other applicable laws;
• scrape, copy or republish our databases, pages or results in bulk, or use automated tools to overload the Site. Normal search-engine and AI-assistant crawling allowed by our robots.txt is welcome;
• try to hack, disrupt or probe the Site's security, or upload malicious code;
• submit personal data of others, or any content that is defamatory, obscene, infringing or otherwise unlawful, into our tools; or
• misrepresent our results as medical advice or as endorsements by any brand.

5. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text, code, databases, graphics and "Beauty Elixir" branding belong to us or our licensors and are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and other laws. You may share links and the result cards you generate for personal, non-commercial use. You may quote short excerpts with a link back to the source page. Any other reproduction requires our written permission.

Brand, product and perfume names are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used only to identify products and describe ingredients or scent similarity, and do not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

6. Copyright and content complaints

If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, email grievance@beautyelixir.in with the URL, a description of the work, proof of ownership and your contact details. We will review and act on valid notices promptly.

7. Third-party links, affiliates and ads

The Site links to third-party websites, including retailers such as Amazon and Nykaa, and may display ads. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, prices, delivery or privacy practices. Some links are affiliate links (see the Affiliate Disclosure). Any purchase is a contract between you and the retailer.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or harm, including skin reactions, allergic responses or purchase decisions, arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to ₹1,000.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.

10. Changes and availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Services, or update these Terms, at any time. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. If you continue to use the Site after changes, you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Noida, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live. Please contact our Grievance Officer first. Most issues can be resolved quickly by email.
