Frequently asked questions
Can I use Lactic Acid and Vitamin E together?
Yes, it is safe. There is no known chemical conflict between Lactic Acid and Vitamin E, and neither makes the other less effective. They share a goal (hydration), so together they reinforce each other.
Which goes first, Lactic Acid or Vitamin E?
Apply Lactic Acid first, then Vitamin E. The general rule is thinnest to thickest texture, and lowest pH first.
Should I use Lactic Acid in the morning or at night?
Lactic Acid: best at night. Use 2–3 nights a week. It is good for beginners to exfoliation. Follow with a moisturiser, and wear SPF the next day.
Should I use Vitamin E in the morning or at night?
Vitamin E: works morning or night. Look for it combined with vitamin C and ferulic acid. Very oily or acne-prone skin should avoid pure vitamin E oil.
