For acne, Benzoyl Peroxide is the stronger option, while Zinc PCA is gentler and better suited to sensitive or beginner skin.

Using both? Safe to mix There is no known chemical conflict between Benzoyl Peroxide and Zinc PCA, and neither makes the other less effective. They share a goal (acne), so together they reinforce each other. How to layer them →

Benzoyl Peroxide in short

It kills acne-causing bacteria (C. acnes) by releasing oxygen into the pore. It works fast on inflamed pimples, but it is drying and can bleach towels and pillowcases.

Zinc PCA in short

Zinc salts help regulate sebum and have mild anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. That is why zinc so often appears next to niacinamide in oil-control serums.
