Frequently asked questions
Can I use Bakuchiol and Tretinoin together?
Yes, it is safe. There is no known chemical conflict between Bakuchiol and Tretinoin, and neither makes the other less effective. They share a goal (aging, texture and pigmentation), so together they reinforce each other.
Which goes first, Bakuchiol or Tretinoin?
Apply Bakuchiol first, then Tretinoin. The general rule is thinnest to thickest texture, and lowest pH first.
Should I use Bakuchiol in the morning or at night?
Bakuchiol: works morning or night. Use twice daily. It is stable in sunlight, so a morning application is fine.
Should I use Tretinoin in the morning or at night?
Tretinoin: best at night. Use only as prescribed: a pea-sized amount on completely dry skin at night, starting 2–3 nights a week. Expect dryness and a possible purge for 4–8 weeks. Daily SPF is essential.
Is Bakuchiol with Tretinoin safe during pregnancy?
Tretinoin is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Ask your doctor about safer alternatives such as azelaic acid or bakuchiol.
