What Benzoyl Peroxide does
It kills acne-causing bacteria (C. acnes) by releasing oxygen into the pore. It works fast on inflamed pimples, but it is drying and can bleach towels and pillowcases.

No, keep them apart. Benzoyl peroxide oxidises and inactivates tretinoin when they are applied together. Most dermatologists prescribe benzoyl peroxide in the morning and tretinoin at night. (Some newer micro-encapsulated tretinoin gels are stable with it, so check with your doctor.)

Tretinoin: best at night. Use only as prescribed: a pea-sized amount on completely dry skin at night, starting 2–3 nights a week. Expect dryness and a possible purge for 4–8 weeks. Daily SPF is essential.
Is Benzoyl Peroxide with Tretinoin safe during pregnancy?
Tretinoin is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Ask your doctor about safer alternatives such as azelaic acid or bakuchiol.
