How to use them
Alternate nights, for example PHA on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Retinol on Tuesday and Thursday, with a plain moisturiser night in between if your skin feels sensitive. If your skin is resilient and already used to both, you can try layering them: apply PHA first, wait a few minutes, then apply Retinol.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use PHA and Retinol together?
Yes, but not at the same time. Both PHA and Retinol speed up cell turnover. Used in the same routine they commonly cause redness, peeling and a damaged barrier, especially in India's heat and humidity. Alternate nights instead.
Which goes first, PHA or Retinol?
Apply PHA first, then Retinol. The general rule is thinnest to thickest texture, and lowest pH first. For this pair, though, it is better not to layer them in the same routine at all.
Should I use PHA in the morning or at night?
PHA: works morning or night. You can use it daily. It is a good first acid, or a way to keep exfoliating on retinoid "rest" nights if your skin tolerates it.
Should I use Retinol in the morning or at night?
Retinol: best at night. Start 2–3 nights a week on dry skin, a pea-sized amount for the whole face, then build up. Always wear sunscreen the next morning.
Is PHA with Retinol safe during pregnancy?
Retinol is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Ask your doctor about safer alternatives such as azelaic acid or bakuchiol.
