Using both? Safe to mix There is no known chemical conflict between Adapalene and Tea Tree Oil, and neither makes the other less effective. They share a goal (acne), so together they reinforce each other. How to layer them →

Adapalene in short

A synthetic retinoid built for acne. It unclogs pores and calms the inflammation behind breakouts. It is more stable than retinol, and in India it is sold as a gel (often by prescription).

Tea Tree Oil in short

An essential oil with modest evidence against mild acne. It works more slowly than benzoyl peroxide but causes less dryness. Undiluted it can irritate or sensitise skin, so it belongs in a formulated product.
