How to use them
Alternate nights, for example Retinol on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Sulfur on Tuesday and Thursday, with a plain moisturiser night in between if your skin feels sensitive. If your skin is resilient and already used to both, you can try layering them: apply Sulfur first, wait a few minutes, then apply Retinol.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Retinol and Sulfur together?
Yes, but not at the same time. Sulfur and retinoids are both drying. Layered together they often cause flaking and irritation. Use sulfur as a morning spot treatment or wash, and the retinoid at night.
Which goes first, Retinol or Sulfur?
Apply Sulfur first, then Retinol. The general rule is thinnest to thickest texture, and lowest pH first. For this pair, though, it is better not to layer them in the same routine at all.
Should I use Retinol in the morning or at night?
Retinol: best at night. Start 2–3 nights a week on dry skin, a pea-sized amount for the whole face, then build up. Always wear sunscreen the next morning.
Should I use Sulfur in the morning or at night?
Sulfur: works morning or night. Use as a spot treatment, a clay mask or a short-contact wash. It can be drying, so moisturise afterwards.
Is Retinol with Sulfur safe during pregnancy?
Retinol is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Ask your doctor about safer alternatives such as azelaic acid or bakuchiol.
