Frequently asked questions
Can I use Retinol and Urea together?
Yes, and they work even better together. Urea cushions Retinol: it hydrates and supports the barrier while the active does its work. That means less irritation and better results.
Which goes first, Retinol or Urea?
Apply Retinol first, then Urea. The general rule is thinnest to thickest texture, and lowest pH first.
Should I use Retinol in the morning or at night?
Retinol: best at night. Start 2–3 nights a week on dry skin, a pea-sized amount for the whole face, then build up. Always wear sunscreen the next morning.
Should I use Urea in the morning or at night?
Urea: works morning or night. Use 5–10% on the face or body daily. Higher strengths can sting on broken or freshly exfoliated skin.
Is Retinol with Urea safe during pregnancy?
Retinol is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Ask your doctor about safer alternatives such as azelaic acid or bakuchiol.
