Frequently asked questions
Can I use Kojic Acid and Vitamin C together?
Yes, it is safe. There is no known chemical conflict between Kojic Acid and Vitamin C, and neither makes the other less effective. They share a goal (pigmentation), so together they reinforce each other.
Which goes first, Kojic Acid or Vitamin C?
Apply Vitamin C first, then Kojic Acid. The general rule is thinnest to thickest texture, and lowest pH first.
Should I use Kojic Acid in the morning or at night?
Kojic Acid: works morning or night. Patch test first. Use once daily at first, then build up.
Should I use Vitamin C in the morning or at night?
Vitamin C: best in the morning. Apply in the morning on clean skin before moisturiser and sunscreen. Store it away from light and heat, and throw it out once it turns dark orange.
Is Kojic Acid with Vitamin C safe during pregnancy?
Neither is a known risk in normal cosmetic amounts, but guidance varies for Kojic Acid. Check with your doctor.
